Title: Hottest factory 180 grain .40 or 165 grain
Post by: Dave84 on February 27 2014 07:19:12 PM MST
Ok, so it's time to cycle out my old .40's with something new. Anyone have any idea what mainstream brand does the hotter .40 loads. I'm talking Federal, Remington, Speer, Winchester. Not BB, Underwood, and the probably "Federal like" Doubletap.

Or you might want to try the Speer Gold Dot 165 grain #53970 load. This load was HOT when I fired it through my Glock 27. Don't get the #53949 load, which is a downloaded version.

Here is a comparison between the two loads:

Thanks guys. A lot of .40 ammo is nearly identical and I appreciate the info on these.
