We built the prototype 10mm because it's something a handful of us here would love to have as a factory offering. Last year when the pistol product manager visited we showed it to him, as well as a handful of other designs we had put together. Of all the designs, the 10mm was one of the two he liked the most.
What it comes down to is demand. At the moment we simply can't make pistols fast enough. We have lengthy backorders for all of our pistols, so introducing new models isn't easy.
We'll continue to remind the factory of the 10mm 97, but realistically it will have to wait until things slow down a bit and we have room in the production schedule.
Thanks!

I wonder which 10mm will reach actual production first, the CZ97 or the Fortis Bren Ten?

The Glock 43.
As these gun companies advertise on Facebook I always make comments about having a 10mm offering... ::)
CZ, S&W, Beretta, Ruger, VLTOR are no exception! ;D
If CZ makes a 10mm I will buy one as soon as I know about it.
Pat
I'd be down.
Count me in
A CZ-97 10mm would make a great addition to my home .
Make mine in stainless please. 8)

There's already an improved CZ97 10mm, and it's called "Tanfoglio Stock II." Not sure what the CZ draw would be when the Stock II would still be a higher quality pistol with better parts. I still want a 10mm compact, but it won't be from CZ as they've had plenty of opportunity to produce a 97 in a compact, and it's not happening.
DenStinett. Is that a large frame with a compact slide?
StockIIBoss. One's a spawn of the orig design as we all know.. Don't get me wrong, I am looking forward to my Stock II. But I along with some others have an interest in the orig CZ. For me it's the fullsize 97BD. The compact dream, well that's my dream. And EAA/Tanfo compacts are crap in 10mm. Been thru that nonsense already. Orig compact, with 12 round mags and 3.6 inch barrel. Horrible.
I agree the Tanfoglio's might be better depending on what you get. If the CZ version comes with a de-cocker, 5" version or a nice compact, that would set it apart. Getting parts and not dealing with EAA should an issue arise is huge!
Papacop. You and me both, buddie, when it comes to the compacts. Must be the reason why they haven't been available for some time. Seems like the only available compact option at the moments is the G29, and that ain't happening here. Just a personal thing... :D
Intercooler. Yep, I wasn't bringing that EAA thing into the equation. Oops, right! It's too bad CZ has all the business they can keep up with at the moment. I would trip over myself getting a CZ 97 10mm Compact!

Pacapcop;
Yes, that is a Full Sized, Large Frame with a Compact Upper, aka a Semi Compact
IMHO, the best of both worlds
I like the Full Sized Grip for better Grip / Control and full HiCap Mags
