They look interesting. The Gold Dots always seem to perform better than most in just about every test, so it might be worth a look when these come out.
New is good, and more (options) is better. However, I'm not very optimistic, yet. Berry's makes good bullets, within their capabilities. This looks like more of the same, only with a different shape. "Bonded" is a catch-word, and can mean several things. Hardly comparable to Gold Dots, methinks. This looks like a thin-plated HP, which as we know, has a very specific and definitive speed limit, so will be limited to sub-sonic rounds. Heavier plated (bonded) bullets are available that do perform very well into the ultra-sonic range, including some from Berry's (.41 and .44, for example). Perhaps the reason for the sub-sonic caliber initial release. If they were after "popular", why no .38/.357 bullets, which are still as popular, if not more, as any other caliber? It's still early, and I may be wrong, but I do have ESPN, you know....
Interesting. It's hard to tell from the pic if they are the same thin plating as the rest of their bullets? The pic doesn't look like it, but then, neither do their other pics of their bullets.
If they use the standard thin plating that they put on their other bullets, these won't be much use in 10mm, IMO. Maybe OK in a 180gr .40 S&W load. They might be pretty decent in low velocity stuff like the 45 ACP though.
Thanks for the link.
I'm just sharing the news, I actually hope they are of the quality that will compete with the Gold Dots directl! Put back some balance to these runaway prices! ???
They have my attention for now at least.
