Was thinking of replacing my carry load on my full and mid sized 9mm's to 147 gr Underwood +p+. At the range I loaded my Glock 17 and Walther PPQ with full magazines. The same way they would be carried, not just shooting a nice 5 shot group and reloading. Both of these guns just had constant ftf the whole time. I had planned on saving my 2nd box for carry but since these wouldn't work I decided to burn the remaining box up with the Glock. Same result. I tried different mags of course too. Have some that are nearly brand new. All brass was decent looking upon inspection. No over pressure swelling. Going to give the 115 +p a test next time I hit the range. Maybe just too much slide velocity on the +p+.
Is anyone having perfect success with all the hot nines? Was disappointed with the results. These guns are not Hi point and Keltec.
The Underwood is giving problems?
Not here with any any 9mm in my two 9's, EVER!! On Steel I did experience a couple of light strikes but have shot 85gr-165gr with zero issues.
Bad luck I guess...
What Gen is your Glock and what springs are in them?
It's a gen 3 and the springs are stock. Maybe its about time for a new RSA. How many Rds would you say ones good for? I don't notice it being particularly weak but it has some mileage on it.
