The Samson IMI 115gr is rated 1280 FPS/ 421 LBS. That's strong if it pans out!

I would imagine the Samson will be about stated fps since it is made by IMI to mil spec standards.  Right now Widener's has the true IMI 115 gr 9mm in stock but no ratings listed.  I was always under the impression that the 9mm NATO round was 124 gr.  interesting as the Samson (I got a case from Brownells recently) has the NATO cross on it and a 13 marking, so new production.

interested to see how these perform.  have G17.

One of my favorite range fmj rounds is the 115 gr Sellier & Bellot.  very clean, accurate and hot feeling.  They list them at 1280 fps, which seems about right out of a G17.  I some I could donate for scientific data gathering.  PM me if interested.

I appreciate the offer! In the past, I Chronographed them out of a 4" barrel, but not out of the 4.75". They are really nice shooting and I still have a sealed 500 pack of the "COP" rounds.

I just did a makeover on the 9mm sheet. They are lines 17 and 19: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Ak5OC6bPsjO8dC04eEk2U2xaYXJLVGppTHMtQWJISHc&usp=drive_web#gid=3

:)) at me for not seeing the other caliber factory ammo data sheet.  hmm, 1200 or so from a 4".  not sure they would hit that 1280 from the 4.6" glock 17 barrel but they do shoot nice and strong.  probably will in the G17L barrel.

After having tried many factory brands now, my range rounds have been narrowed down to S&B, Blazer Brass and Speer Lawman for factory offerings.  They are very competitively priced for what you get.  For SD, Speer Gold dots of various grains and UW of most of Kevin's offerings.  Although I haven't had a chance to try out the Samson, I have no doubt they will be nice due to the NATO spec loading.  IMI makes very good ammo, which makes sense due to their geo-political situation.  Might have to allocate some tax return $$ to another case of IMI 9mm and a case of their 5.56.  Wish they made 7.62x39 for our AKs, because it would be very high quality and less expensive than the other non-magnetic options for those of us that have to go to a range that doesn't allow the least expensive bi-metal jacketed stuff.  I really need to make a friend that has enough land close enough to just go shoot at.  :(

I have read good reviews and yes RUAG makes good ammo.  problem is the glock doesn't like the harder primers they use.   :( Could always get a stronger firing pin spring though.  The one good thing about the 9mm Glock is the factory barrel has good case support,  unlike the G20.  Dropped the $$ on a SL stock length and a 6" after some online research after I had purchased a LW that had the same or maybe a little less support than the stock barrel.  LW case support has gone down a lot in the last couple of years from the research I did after I bought it. >:(

live and learn

Did you see the Geco thread I made here. I would think they should fire just fine in your Glock.

I thought I had 500 Police rounds, but upon checking I still have 750. This was a great deal back when I bought them and plastic vacuum sealed to top it off.

The Samson 115's performed about as expected in the realm of +P.

Springfield XD 4" 1286, 1302, 1282, 1270, 1289. Average = 1285.5 FPS/ 422 LBS
EAA Limited 4.75" 1296, 1285, 1322, 1285, 1326. Average = 1302.8 FPS/ 433 LBS

The ZVS 124's are a pretty low performer.

Springfield XD 4" 1060, 1064, 1057, 1074, 1089. Average = 1068.8 FPS/ 315 FPS
EAA Limited 4.75" 1129, 1120, 1109. Average = 1119.33 FPS/ 345 LBS

interesting extreme spread on the Samson.  I would have thought it might be a little bit more consistent.  not crazy as is, but you know what I mean.

It did seem up and down more than I like. Since I have more I will do them again to see.
