kids will be out of school and we are going to Vortex Spring for spring break. been several times. any divers on the forum. Vortex is located in the panhandle of florida. from there we will dive the jetties at panama city. my catch a boat ride and dive some wrecks. im always most excited about diving when its winter. just waiting to get wet. i got one kid who is also a diver. fun family activity. one other wants to get certified and the youngest doesnt seem to care about it. maybe it wont rain so much this summer.
cyrstal clear waters can camp or stay in cabin. also have rope swings, zip line, diving boards. nice chilly 68 degree waters year round. feels great when its 100 outside. got to remember to buy vienna sausages feed the fish an fresh water eels. maybe one day i will get cave certified and explore the florida caves.

Retired instructer ( Naui/Padi ) here. Use to do quite a bit of diving in the 80/90's when i was teaching. Stopped teaching when family became more important. Sadly don't dive much anymore except on vacation , so maybe 2x per year.
But I still enjoy when I can.
