Picked up the platform for my next 10mm project last night.

Para P12-45. Plan is to add a Caspian Commander length slide at Christmas along with a 10mm barrel from Barsto or Kart. Should end up as a pretty slick CCO type pistol. Also an extended thumb safety. My P16-40 mags fit fine, though they hang out the end. I will have to cut down a magazine to get a flush fit 10mm mag, but it should be doable.
I haven't decided what I am going to do with the grip safety yet. I am definitely going to radius the frame .250", But, I think I am going to try just rounding the tang off this grip safety. If I don't like it the frame will be ready for an Ed Brown hi ride, if I do, I will leave it as is.
Of course the 10mm upper will get an EGW flat bottom stop, and the mainspring will get bumped to 25 lbs.
I carried it last night on my evening walk with the wife. I know, shouldn't ever carry a gun you have tested. But it has to get tested fast. So much lighter and more easily concealed than the full size. Now I just need to find a P13 and a P10 and I can have the whole family of Para-Ordnance conversions.
I will range report
The pic isn't showing up.
Fixed it.
Ordered an extended safety, metal mag release and an aluminum trigger with over travel stop last night from Brownells. This weekend I will get it to the range and function check it with 45 ACP ammo.
I hope to have the commander top end done by Christmas. Looks like I am going with a Fusion slide and a Schuemann Barrel.
Uh.....sorry, all I see is a small blue box with a question mark? Sounds like an interesting project.
Yep, like EdMc posted, still no pic showing up for me either.
Hopefully the third time is the charm. I moved the image from my google account to my personal webserver.
As you said, 'the third time is the charm'......keeps us up with the project.
Yippeeee, I can see it. :o Fine project ya got goin on there!
I will keep you updated as it progresses. Hopefully I will be fitting a trigger, mag release and ext thumb safety this weekend. Depends on if the brownells box gets here today.
That should be pretty cool! You are giving me ideas to steal!
I have the Ed Brown ext thumb safety fitted, and will be fitting the beavertail over the next week or so. Then the frame will get re-parkerized an cerakoted.
So much fun!
