That is a funny one  ;D Topic title was the giveaway  :o

I'm 100% convinced now I will never own one. After checking my list of what in a stock Glock I would keep the list was short! Possibly the frame, slide and magazines. If I'm changing everything else that tells you something  :-*

Keep the frame and slide, get a KKM barrel and 22 pound RSA, and you will be Good To Go!  ;)  ;D

I read enough stuff here to kind of know what's what  ;)

Gen 4?

It seems the recoil spring assembly doesn't have options yet. The frame for my liking would need a grip reduction or rework to even be close to useable. The slide would suffice, but I would outfit it with a different sight setup right out of the box, plus plain black anymore doesn't do it for me for slide color. All the controls would be more eye appealing  :P and the trigger would be changed out/reworked. The barrel... yup... that would be key and probably a custom piece with great support.
So in 10mm it's just not cost effective and still no hammer! If I could purchase a custom G21 frame (reduced grip) I would love to do the Rowland conversion Mr.Redbull did to his:

That's what Glock would be for me.

Yes, you would have to stick to Gen 3 for the recoil spring assembly options. And there are companies who can professionally reduce the grip for you, but with an SF model you most likely wouldn't need it. I have seen your hands on your videos, and if I can shoot an SF model comfortably you can too. Not that I am trying to convince you or anything....I was just stirring the pot a little.  :P

The Rowland conversion....that could be for me too! 8)

We rented a G19 at the indoor range when my Wife was 9mm shopping. I shot a full magazine through it but didn't care for it. Out of all the 9mm's she shot that day it was between the XD and G19 at the end of the day. It was a grip thing for her too and the XD was the call. I don't think anything to date compares to the CZ/Witness grip though.

Or just do the XD!

The XD's do have nice grips. I fired a friend's CZ at the range, I think it was some sort of tactical model, and it felt really good in the hand as well. I believe it was a .40.

Thanks  :-\ Now you got me thinking that I should convert my XD to 460. Just what I need, a new caliber. ;D

I just which I had bought a 5" or 5.25 barrel model. All I have is a 4". Anyone have a spare 5" slide they don't need?

Am I wrong in thinking you can just get the longer kit and hang the barrel out the front like the Glock guys do  ;D

Yes, but like a Glock, it just isn't right. ;D  I am sure that I could, but I wouldn't think it could be as accurate, that way.

Pick up some parts, for a EAA Witness 460 Rowland project. I originally picked up the Long slide, then I got the 6" barrel from the same guy on Gunbroker.
Then while looking a Numrich I noticed that they had a compensated 45acp barrel with the 2 slotted comp. They also have a 3 slotted comp.

I was hoping that the comped barrel would fit the long slide, but it is set up for a 4.5 barreled slide, not the 4.75. So that means that I ether
have to have the 6" barrel threaded for the long slide, or just pick up a regular full sized Witness, or both.

Will have to save up some more money for what I have to do next. Will probably see how it works with reg. 45acp first, then ether try 45 Super,
and then, have it reamed out to 460.
