I am a new member just signed in this morning. I purchased the first 10MM pistol available in my area back in 1984. It was a blued Colt Delta Elite, since then I have purchased another Delta Elite, this time in stainless steel as a back up. I am extremly fond of this cartridge and have been reloading for it ever since I bought my first pistol. :)
Welcome to the site. I also have a delta elite, as well as a Witness and a glock 20. Good to have you here.
Welcome aboard! I had a DE in the early-mid 90's. Sold it to buy an engagement ring and have missed it every since. My EDC now is a Para Ordnance 16-40 converted to 10mm.
I still keep my eye open for a DE at the right price (read cheap).
Glad to have reloaders here too. The 10mm is certainly a round that rewards those who stuff it themselves.
Also another hello and welcome aboard!
Hello to a fellow eastern Pa person. I got my first 10 at the old french creek outfiters location. Where did you get yours?
Welcome from NEPA! I transplanted from Sellersville to the Poconos, and just recently began my courtship with the 10. I was in the right place at the right time and traded my Glock 26 and a Smith .22 for a G29. I am hooked.
SGH:
Where did I buy my first Delta Elite? That's a very interesting question. I bought my Delta from the old "Donns Guns" located directly across the street from "Leslie Edlemans" (remember them?) on Rt 309. Was just looking that day for firearms in general and saw my first 10mm Delta Elite ever in the display case. I asked to look at it, and it looked brand new to me. The owner said it was used with only a couple of mags fired thru it; was too much gun for the original buyer. Asked if I could field strip it and he said yes. I found no evidence of the piece being fired and the barrel's bore was sparkling clean and no internal wear. Donn's also had the original box and all papers including the warranty card. With a bit of dickering, it went out the door for a total of 425.00. It was a brand new gun as as as I was concerned. Don't think Donns ever checked it closely. Some times even a blind squirrel finds an acorn!
NE Philly native here.Dated a few of those suburban girls out your way.Welcome. Long ago, when Great Vally was farm land.

Back in my working days, my office was located in Great Valley. Built on top of a reclaimed trash dump. On the whole that area was a nice place to work with local parks throughout the area.
Yeah, all congestion now.Im west in the capitol city now.Still close to the shore though.Family in Bucks. But i don't miss the traffic and have to have a cell phone or watch implanted in my eyesocket around the clock.
I used to frequent Dons and Eldelmans. Miss them both. Hard to find 10's in most gun shops. The bulk of mine have come off internet auctions and forum sales.
Edelmans, man theres a name i have not heard in awhile. They has a shop on Rt1,Rosevelt Blvd if i recall correctly.Bought a mouse gun there in 89 and then a Colt .45 long nickel.

If my memory serves me correctly Leslie Edelman's was originally located in Horsham and was a basically a catalog only store with some walk in customers; from there they moved to their Rt 309 location in Montgomeryville. Edelman's subsequently opened stores on Roosevelt Ave in the NE, West Chester Pa, and South Jersey(don't remember the town). Then one by one they closed their retail stores until the last one in Montgomeryville closed. Boy, did I get some bargains during their 50% off going out of business sale. Those were the days! :)
