Correct me if I'm wrong, but that has to be a prototype 1006.  I don't think I've ever seen a 1006 with a square trigger guard.  Maybe my memory is just bad.  Also, looks like the serial number is X487.

In this one and the Handguns Oct 1989, in another thread, they used the same gun. And I know in one, if not both of the reviews, they called it the Prototype.
