Title: Another 10 came home today
Post by: P33v3 on December 21 2013 03:50:28 PM MST
Well another 10 came home today. I was looking for something a little lighter that I didn't need to carry in a shoulder holster all the time and finally decided to buy a G29. I bought a 3rd Gen one. I immediately took it to the range and put some rounds through it including some hot loads. It did pretty well. It isn't near as accurate as my 1076 but it is somewhere around 20 ounces lighter. I traded my only 40 S&W as I don't really like the caliber towards the purchase. Now for a few more mags and an IWB rig of some sort. Still not a big Glock fan as they are ugly and plastic but as a 10mm shooter our options are limited. I carry Underwood 180s in the 1076 but will probably use Underwood 165's in this one for a little extra zip since the barrel is shorter.

standing two hands defensive fire drills my G29 is still more accurate than I am.  Now, resting it won't keep up with my other 10's.

congrats on a great little gun.

Thanks, I've been carrying it for a couple of days now. It is pretty light. It is still an eye sore of a thing but because it is a 10mm I am giving it a pass. I thought about a Kimber 1911 Ultra Carry II in 10mm but didn't want to spend that much scratch.
