Looks like rumours are true that Glock is discontinuing their full size framed Glock 20/21 Gen3. I gave them a call this afternoon & a rep confirmed that the regular (full size) frames are going away. They will be continuing production of Gen 4's & SF Gen 3's. I called because I eventually want to buy a 2nd Gen 3 20 as my wife & I both like ours better than our other pistols. The Glock rep said I better buy now!
I might be on that path as well. 2nd one fullsize too.
Thanks for the info. Good to know.
Hopefully it's because the sf works better with the LS..... which is what the G42 is- An sf frame longlslide
No?? Too bad :(
Glock has a lot of great options but no matter how much I try I can't bring myself to like them. I'd grab one of the 20's if I could like the feel of the grip.

While the feel of Glocks doesn't bother me, there are a lot of folks that reshape, stiple, or install beaver tails to improve their feel.

The grip is one of the reasons why my wife & I love our Gen 3 20. It is the best grip for us of any pistol either of us have ever handled. However, we are in the minority & that is why they are discontinuing the full size framed gen 3 20. The SF model will still be around.
My gen. 3 Glock 20SF is a keeper.
Dann Fassnacht, welcome to the forum! Congrats on your 20SF and to the world of 10mm! :D
Best regards!
Dann, welcome to the group....
I too have the Gen 3 g-20 sf....And the more I get used to the trigger, the more I love it

I had a G20, (gen. 2) a few years ago, but found the grip to be a little too big for my hands...The 1/4" less front-to-back length of the (gen. 3) "SF" version makes a big difference in fit.
I have the OD green gen 3 and it has always been on the large size for my hands. Considered trading it in for a SF version that came out much later but just cant do it. Have too many upgrades installed on the damn thing. Will just have to live with it. My 29 I picked up in 2010 is SF.
I have the 20sf and the 29sf - love them both but did put the adapters on the 15rd clips to give me the full grip of the 20sf on the 29sf and love them. Now I can hang on to the 29sf shooting the hot and hotter loads now(I also have the LW 4.? - 2 port barrel in the 29sf to help out) perfect.

Sounds pretty great. I ended up getting the Pearce grip extension for my G29 10 rounders. What brand made that grip adapter you use for the 15 rd mags?
I have the Pierce finger tips also on the 10 rd clips - but for full house the A&G Grip Extenders for 29 for 15rd clips or as the back says Glock Magazine Sleeve Part #T0364-C
