Title: Middle-aged?
Post by: enidpd804 on November 24 2013 10:53:56 PM MST
What the hell is middle-aged? I just realized that I am.  I got called ...that... when I was 35, but I knew that was BS.

I'm 43 now. So, when does middle-aged stop and elderly start? Is there something in between? :-\ :P

I was under the belief middle age was from 45 thru 60. Now I hear that 45 is the new 35,55 the new 45,65 the new 55 and so on. But I also hear when one turns 50 AARP starts sending material out to you. When I was in 20's, it was 30's that were old and trust no one over 30. But then again what do 20+ yr olds know. I am now 48. Who called you middle aged? A 20 something lol. By the time Oboinko Care is in they will dispatch old heads/boomers right fast.

It depends on your point of view.  I am 65.  To me, middle aged is 50 to 75.  I refuse to become elderly.  When I'm 75, I will still be middle aged.  But of course, not you youngsters, LOL.

Middle-Aged is when you can finally start to afford a few things in life...but you start to feel your age!
Over-the-Hill is another one of those terms...they say 40 is the peak of an eighty year life span average.

So I guess I'm over-the-hill and sliding down the middle-aged slope of life, as I close in on 59.  ::)

BTW, today was my annual check-up!  Blood work was good, doctor said I was fat and needed to lose some weight.  I said I was going to seek a second opinion.  He said OK, your ugly too!  :o

I have a mathematical function that can be used to determine middle aged.   f(x) = x+1 where x is my age in years.

So, enidpd804, you are safe.  As I am currently 43 like you, we are both still 10 years from being middle aged!

I cannot argue with mathematical fact.   :)
