Title: Stock II Duty Holster?
Post by: StockIIBoss on November 20 2013 10:26:15 PM MST
Any recommendations for a Serpa type holster with a trigger guard lock or other lock mechanism? I've tried a couple of the Serpas and they don't latch onto the guard. It's for range use and we're required to carry handguns holstered or in a range bag if we're not at the firing line, shooting. The holstered guns need to have the slide locked open, so you see my dilemma. Straps meant to go over the hammer won't work. Might be able to modify one to go around the grip. The holster I'm using now is nylon and I was able to modify the strap to go around the grip. However, it's not a duty (drop style) holster. Henning is the closest I've seen that will work but not sure how well it holds the gun in place. Anyone tried one? If you go from standing, shooting the pistol, to sitting shooting a rifle, I don't want to be leaning over, or snag something and have the gun topple out! The danged thing is too pretty!! LOL  :o

You might try a SERPA for a Glock 21.  I have read that the CZ SP01's will fit the 9mm Glock SERPA hosters.  I know my witness fits pretty good in a Glock 19 hoster I found in a discount bin.

I tried that one and it fit, but didn't lock. Also tried the one for the Beretta 92/96. I contacted Blackhawk and they said they have nothing that will work, and no plans to produce one. Too bad, too, since I thought the quality was pretty nice.

I very much like the Safariland 6378.  They are around $35.00-$40.00 on Amazon.  Very tough and secure.......

Not sure either of those is going to deal well with the OP's requriement to hold the gun securely with the slide locked open.

A drop holster (duty style) is also on my requirement list.  :) The holster I'm using now works, but it rides too high and interferes with my highly developed side muscles.

Here's a pic of that Serpa I liked:

Here's what I'm using at the present time. I was able to modify the straps so it would wrap over the grip:

Bladetech makes a holster for Stock II.Or the Bianchi Model #5 Black Widow works for the CZ 75B which I used for a 1006 and Witness Compact.I'm holding it for upcoming Stock II.

Man, I missed that somehow.

I would track down a dealer that has the SERPA for a Glock 20/21 or a Sig P227 and see if it works.  Your Stock will probably stick out the end a bit, but both the SIG and the Glock have the squared trigger guard, so there are even chances that the SERPA action in one of those will latch on.  The guys on the CZ boards use the SIG Serpa holster for the SP01 Phantom and P09 with success.
