Hello, I have been lurking here for a while, and have been learning a lot, thank you to the site people, and mods for keeping a great site running the way this one is.
I am new to the world of 10mm, heard of it, but never paid it much attention, until now, I am looking for a real 10mm round, one that is consistent, from a consistent mfg, I am looking for the best self defense round, winter, and summer, I have been trying to figure it out, but seems I need some guidance, and hope that the "best round " is not out of stock due to component shortages, I hope I gave enough information for an accurate suggestion, stock G20Gen4
Thanks

10mmnoob, Welcome the the forum. If it were me in your position I think Underwood Ammo would fit your needs. The Glock 20 Gen 4 will handle the full power ammo, but if you are running the factory recoil setup, you may wish to order reduced performance ammo. The owner, Kevin Underwood, might would help you if you wanted ammo loaded at a slightly reduced rate from his out the door products should you need. He also was offering reduced loadings for the Delta Elites that lacked chamber support. His quality and pricing has been pretty good even in these difficult times.
The higher impulse ammo can cause the slide some high velocities as well, which I'm sure you have read about here or there.
165gr - 180gr are a good choice but most any weights will work well depending on you situation.
Best regards and enjoy the forum! :D
Thanks for the response, I will give Underwood a try, as for the factory springs, what is the best spring package to use in the gen4 20, so I don't run into problems? I want to run real 10mm rounds.
The Gen 4 is sort of new and not many options are available as of yet, there was some discussion in several sections about the Gen4 recoil setups...Wolff Gun Springs still hasn't introduced any for the Gen4.
Some springs are quite costly so I would look around and study the gen4 in particular and call or ask questions with the various companies to see what they offer, before making a decision.
Cool, thanks, I just posted in the gun smithing section, asking for advice, I will investigate more.
