As most know, getting reload supplies is pretty tought these days...
Well, I obtained some Win Autocomp ( not my first choice, but sometime you take what you can get ). I see that this powder can be a bit hard for total ignition with lower loads... was wondering if some have use mag primers instead of the to cci 300 for a better burn
BTW; for a G20 with 180g.
You may have to test some because AutoComp already produces plenty gas volume. That said small changes in charge weights may raise the pressures quickly. I know there are some who used the AutoComp in test at GlockTalk 10mm reloading section of the forum.
Hodgdon's 2012 Annual Manual shows a few loadings for the 135,155,180 and 200 gr bullets with pressure values.
135 Nosler JHP 8.7 gr @ 1372 fps 28,400 psi and 9.5 gr @ 1476 fps 34,500 psi
155 Hornady XTP 8.0 gr @ 1254 fps 29,000 psi and 8.9 gr @ 1362 fps 36,700 psi
180 Sierra JHC 7.0 gr @ 1119 fps 29,800 psi and 7.7 gr @ 1199 fps 36,000 psi
200 Hornady FMJ 6.0 gr @ 959 fps 25,900 psi and 7.0 gr @ 1100 fps 36,100 psi
Hope this helps!
p.s. Please post a good close-up picture of a small amount Auto Comp Powder in a scale pan if you can, or you can e-mail it to me if that helps! _shadow_(at)bellsouth(dot)net place the right symbols (@ and .) without the parentheses. Thanks!
will do with the pic, give me a few days...
Scored some Blue Dot too on the web ( via gunbot)... if you need a pic of that also, let me know.
I have the Blue Dot already thanks! 8)
