Please take a pic.  I gather you need 9 inch barrel to hunt with handgun in California.

No 9" requirement in CA. I'm not sure what they mean by "CA length". I'm looking into it.

Currently, the only minimum barrel length requirement is 4" for the taking of elk and bighorns. Barrel length for taking bear, dear, and pigs is not specified, only "centerfire pistols and revolvers, using soft-nose or expanding bullets" is stated. There's no other requirements for barrel lengths except "special" or "limited" hunts, and they only relate to shotguns and muzzle loaders.

I thought that was awe fully long.  But being Cali I figured it was a liberal thing to try and stop hunting.

They're working on other ways. They'll pull it off, for a while. Then, when the granola-eaters can't go to the park because it's overrun with their prized wildlife, it'll swing the other way again. I'm patient.

That's kinda funny, actually. Some engineering, choosing to not cut off a few inches of pipe, on a product they already produce, and name it after a state the "engineer" came from, although he isn't there anymore.

Hello Twisted1, I saw your 9" pictures over at GT...Have you run any rounds down that 9" pipe yet? I must say it is very interesting. If you can chrono some numbers that would be great!

I read were you want to get the barrel fluted...if you do you may need to have it stress relieved after the machine work. I think they do a cryo process for stress relief down here in Louisiana.

Best regards!
