I think details will tell of drugs being connected in some form. They shot each other and it's right next to the school. I pass right by twice a day going to work. Nuts!!
No place is immune to the weed of crime / drugs... :-\
I hope they can figure the motive. It gives me info of what puts someone at risk. Just glad the homeowner at least had a chance although I think he is the one that didn't make it.
I wonder how much crime would drop if we gave up the failed, and un-just IMHO, war on drugs.
Makes no sense to me. It is OK to kill brain cells and diminish your control of your faculties with booze, but not weed. It is fine to get hopped up on caffeine, taurine and sugar, but not any other stimulants.
Don't get me wrong. I have a real problem with people being stoned behind the wheel, or in public. But we are really hypocritical in our attitudes about how we kill our brain cells.
We have some crime issues in our area. My house has a hedge and drug dealers like to ply their trade there as it offers some concealment. My wife and I have gotten bold. We walk right out in the street and take their pictures. Seems to be a great deterrent.
Don't feel alone with that opinion.......it's a tremendous amount of resources wasted every year on a 'war' that never will be won. You'd think we might have learned something from 'Prohibition'.
Back to the original topic, most home invasion type crimes in this area always turn out to be drug related in some form or another.
The deceased was a high school wrestler. No info on the perp yet.
I read he wrestled the gun away from the perp that shot him and shot him with that gun. Guess the details gathering will give the motive.
On my way home I looked for the yellow tape and there it was. In the drive was a Sheriff car and it's only three houses down from the School on the same side.
I don't think the pictures were up this morning? In the link now where it has "images"... looks exactly like I saw it not 15 minutes ago. The photos must have been taken right before I drove by.
Want to see something crazy?
The Town Police Station is on the same exact street not three blocks away (7 minute walk/0.3 miles) and the Bank on the corner of Rte. 7 and Rte. 272 marked with #2 is a block away. The Bank was robbed in broad daylight rush-hour on a Friday. Where this house is you can see a grayed out block which is the middle school. Crooks don't care!

Keep in mind with an economy like we have, desperate times will require desperate measures for alot of folks.Just the way it is. Of course D.C. and "K" Street are doing just fine.
They are saying this was a planned robbery. How much money could some teen kids have among them? Multiple suspects with multiple people inside. Doesn't add up IMO.
Sounds like a "NOTE" was passed. Just saying.
Drugs. All 5 are in custody.

The damn youth of today have no morals or respect for themselves or anyone else, life has no meaning to them...drugs and money are the addiction they crave. :(
How true. And preying and beating to death the elderly.Easy marks for cowards. Also the not so elderly.Being 50 and over can get you attacked by these savages.I remember a few yrs back in Philadelphia where a off duty officer finished his tour and was walking home i believe and was attacked and gunned down not far from his station. I knew the area and it's very bad as it's dubbed "The Badlands".He was in his fortys and video in area caught some of the events. One thing that was obvious that he displayed and no doubt sealed his fate was in video the O/D officer knew he was being followed by 2 suspicious males and even looked back across street as shown on video. But the mistake move was he stepped into street to cross and back tracked back onto pavement.Boom, sign of fear/concern.Then 2 perps appear crossing. At that point further events were out of video range. His weapon was still in holster in waistband i believe. This occured around 4:30 or 5AM.
