Here is something that you don't see without good magnification of the powders you are looking at...These greenish specks don't show up in regular Power Pistol Powder that I've seen. However they are in this sample of powder from the Federal Hi-Skor.
I am wondering if this could be a very new loading using the NEW BE-86 powder that Alliant has listed recently!
Just something that comes to mind...BTW look at the color of the writing on the label. :o

Power Pistol huh. On the discontinued tab, almost 1300 FPS.
Added another picture of that powder, check it out!

I doubt it because these have been discontinued for a decent amount of time.
I understand that these rounds were discontinued some time ago, but this powder could have been a non canister powder at the time. BE-86 is being released to the public in the near future...Just a speculation on my part. ???
Hopefully you can score some to compare!
The powder for these Federal was Power Pistol and not BE-86.
Just for the record here is a picture of BE-86

I had 9.4gr's on the sheet. Was this 8.4?
Some of the pics were not added when I was redoing the address links, yes it was 8.4 and I re added the pics... ::)
