Picked up my new Hunter today, noticed 2 extra recoil springs, different weights, anyone know what these are intended for? This baby shoots like a dream, took my Witness carry(4inch)and Colt Elite(5inch)just to compare.Fantastic piece!
If they are of different weights they are probably used to tune the slide velocity for different impulse ammo. ???
Yea man! I own three (pick up the third tomorrow) and they are.
Those are some weak springs. You can play around with them... I did!

I'm really starting to wonder if we don't create other problems by over-springing some too?
In general, use the heavier spring unless you have having issues with short stroking.
Over-springing can cause issues, but if you stay out of the extremes you will be fine. In general a 20-22 lb recoil spring should be the top end limit.
