It's great. By far my favorite out of all of the Witnesses I have owned. I like the finish. Much better than the wonderfinish. The return of the squared slide is a big relief, along with the bulkier frame with the flashlight rail. It just feels like a heavier gun. I do prefer the feel of the older grips, but these new grips are more of a tactical type and have a built in thumb rest near the mag release for the shooting hand that just feels very natural so I might end up loving it. Overall, I am thoroughly impressed with the 2013 model Witness. Can't wait to shoot it.

Congratulations, looks like a nice piece. Give us a range report when you get a chance.
Congrats! Very nice! :) I'll be looking, listening and watching to see how it goes for you! 8)
Sounds like a win-win! Seems like it was practically a blessing the old slide cracked. :-\
Very nice! ;)
Couple things to note:
The new grip is much thinner than the old grip. If you have smaller hands and the size of the Witness grip turned you away, they have made them more streamlined. The old grip was 1.40 inches wide. The new grip measures 1.35 inches near the bottom, and gradually gets thinner as it moves up towards the mag release to 1.24 inches. It is much less bulky and I feel like I can get a better grip on it.
Also, this gun was built around the K10 mag. It fits so smooth and you can feel it lock in place. It doesn't move around at all with no play, even when the mag is empty. Very perfect fit. With my older Witness, the K10 mag felt sloppy and loose, and it only fit right if I put the old Tanfoglio thick base pads on them.
Great looking Pistol
Square Sided Slide too
Are the grips interchangeable?

Are the grips interchangeable?
Yes. The screw is in the same location. Hogue finger groove grip fits as well.
Here are some great Torx Head Screws for itr:

How many Nukes have you put through it so far? ;)
Yup, can't wait to some feedback in a range report.
I hope it runs flawless for him. All signs say it will!
Is a Witness similar to a Glock in that they generally don't need a break in period?
Congrats, and best of luck with it.
I never have. I don't really think so since they aren't built tight-tight. Now my Dan Wesson was a different story!

I think the general consensus is that the higher end models don't need a break in period, but the standard steel models sometimes need 500 rounds or more before they start feeding reliably. That's my experience anyway. Most have reported similar results.
My experience is like Reapers. My full-size took about 300 rounds before it settled in and became dead nuts reliable.
During that time I also gave it a fluff and buff, swapped out the recoil spring with a 22# and the mag springs with +15%.
My Elite Match arrived, and got the recoil spring and +15% mags before it ever went to the range. It ran flawlessly from day one. Not sure if it was the extra TLC the elite guns get or the changes I made.
Both guns now have in excess of 4000 rounds through them. And have been completely reliable with spec ammo in my hands. I have seen a few FTF when training new shooters... I suspect "limp wrist". And occasionally a new load doesn't run well. Generally though that is limited to the Para.
Thanks for the response guys! 8)
The new Limited will be taken apart, cleaned, oiled and then proceed straight to the range for 200 Underwood ;D
Sounds like a plan. Be sure to let us know how it goes.
