Title: K2 10mm
Post by: sqlbullet on June 12 2012 09:16:19 AM MDT
Has anyone seen a Sarsilmaz K2 in 10mm Auto yet?  They were announced over a year ago, but I have yet to even see one on gunbroker, let alone in the wild.  I would love to find one and run some rounds to see how it stacks up to my Witness's and my Para.

I contacted Sarsilmaz numerous months ago.No 10mm's being produced.

This is one of the main reasons I started this site. We need one place where we can show the gun manufacturers how many true members we have. Show them the market is there. 10mm fans are scattered across to many sites, disorganized. I intend to change that. I have convinced at least 25 people to buy a 10mm over the last 15 years. I want to use this website to convince thousands more.

I have convinced several myself.

The struggle I tend to have is many people can't afford a quality 1911, aren't comfortable with the do-it-yourself route I took on my Para, get scared by the horror stories of Witness's and don't like Glocks.

That is why I was really hoping the K2 was gonna make it in 10mm.

But, like so many others, twas not meant to be.

I have been trying to follow the SAR K2 10mm story and my info from EAA was that they haven't imported any as of yet.  They may have had some import issues, the 45s had made it into the states but...who knows what EAA is doing.

After the issues with the Witness pistols, I really was looking forward to the SAR K2 10mm's.

Too bad they didn't get picked up by a different importer.  I would really like to see them take off, and I think half of the black-eye the Witness line has is EAA's fault.  Tanfoglio is a well respected mfg in Europe.

The quality of the witness line has fallen. This is entirely tanfoglios fault. My latest witness looks like crap. the ejection port looks like it was cut by a 7 year old. Crooked with jagged edges. The wonderfinish had black spots all over and was so thin in some areas it looked nonexistant. I sent it to EAA and they cleaned it up a bit. But the ejection port on the slide still looks terrible. The only excuse I was given was that tanfoglio cuts parts by hand, they don't use many machines, so of course things might be a little crooked. I don't know if I will purchase another.

I checked old e-mails from job.Last yr i believe my initial inquiry was to Sarsilmaz. They kicked me over to OMB Guns.I recieved an e-mail from OMB stating that they are in the process of POSSIBLE being the distributor for Sarzilmaz.I ask about the 10mm,response was,.45 as of moment.Followed up and called OMB,gent asked?,where did you get info we were POTENTIAL distribuor.I stated,i went to Sarsilmaz direct.Deal went south on follow up not soon after.

I guess we need to band together and start a 10mm specific import business.  :D

This was one I had a watch on. The other one was the Para longslide but that one vanished too.

or, or, just commit to only buying 10MM firearms. I know the TEN community is small, and we all know the reasons why. If you don't have the new 4th Gen G20, buy one! If you don't own a Bond Arms Derringer, order one with the 10MM barrel. If you are one of the lucky few who gets to attend the Shot Show, when talking to those at the booths, simply ask, what do you have going in the 10MM line. When they say nothing walk away, because you know there is nothing of interest in 9,40, and 45. That's what I'm doing! If I buy two guns this year, first will be the Bond Arms. JUST TO HAVE :)

They come in other calibers?  What for? ;D

All my current handguns are 10mm except one old 22 revolver my dad gave me.

They're out there or else double tap and elite ammo wouldn't bother making top quality ammo.  I'm doubting glock would bother making a G20 if they didn't sell.

I had a SW 1006 about 15 years ago and sold it to a guy at work  :'(
Then early last year I decided to buy a Kase Reeder 10 MM and then a G20SF and now a STI 10MM ;D. All great guns and even the G20SF shoots pretty good at 10-15 yards .

The last 4 handguns I have purchased have been 10mm, and it is the only caliber handgun I now have other than a 22 my dad gave me.

I need to add a Redhawk to the mix for a true big bore though.
