I've been carrying my 5'' 610 for 2 yrs but all I've got was a tree.It stepped in front of my bullet on the way to a doe.Maybe this year it'll draw blood.
What were you hunting down in central/south America (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Socratea_exorrhiza)?
;D
I hate it when something screws up a shot.
Hey Doug, are you using iron sights or scope?
It's funny,it was the only walking palm in PA.Using iron sights.I have a 308 encore for my scoped handgun.Thinking of scoping my 41 blackhawk, little lighter.
Yeah, those scoped handguns can get heavy, especially without a sling or good holster of some kind.

Personally, I think anyone, who has hunted deer for years, has their share of trees jumping in the bullets path. Have had a few myself. Not positive I've taken tree with a handgun, but am positive, of taking them with an arrow, and muzzle loader ball! ;D
Yeah, and I have had my share of Air Goblins get in the way as well! :D
I have had several jump right in front of arrows flung from my longbow. I ma nto sure what hurts more the miss or the loud "THUNK" or the time to dig the broadhead outta the tree. :o
I really like the 610 how is the felt recoil with the S&W?
It's an easy-shooting revolver, even with full-house 200-grain JHP Double Tap ammunition. It's a real performer on game out to 100-110 yards.

Been useing my Desert eagle 44 magnum w/ Leupold MK8 2X scope for 10 years! Heavy but VERY accurate!
