I have been wondering why I have never owned a 357 mag! :(. Well today I have at my LGS my first 357 mag. Now I just have to wait for the 10-12 day instant nix check >:D.
Well its a S&W SSR 357 mag and I cant wait to get her to the range. I have 100 UW 125 grainers at 1600 fps just waiting.
Well just had to share my excitment :D
Brian
Happy for ya. What's the barrel length on one of those?
Welcome to the Wheelgun World
I love all (7 of) my Wheelers
Congrats on the new wheel gun. First pistol I ever bought was a 357 Mag.....Dan Wesson with six inch ventilated/bull barrel. Wish I still had it..... ;D
Cool! Possibly my second favorite round to shoot. I always take mine in case it's crowded so I don't have to chase 10mm brass.
Great! The 357 is a proven man stopper. I pack a 357 snubbie daily (s&w 340) along with a g29 in the colder months. I own numerous 357's (smith's and Rugers) and a marlin 357 lever action which is fabulous, they all love cast lead and 2400. You will enjoy yours and it probably won't be your last.
Thanks guys.
Its the 4" barrel and she sure is abeaut ;D.
One thing is that it has been handled a bit as you can see the cylinder line do to rotating the cylinder after it closes by hand instead of cocking the hammer to rotate the cylinder.
I wonder if that can be buffed out or cleaned up?
Oh well she is abeaut and am looking forward to taking her to the range.
She is not my first wheelgun. I have had a D W 445 supermag and a RSRH 44 mag. A full out custom 5 shot 445 supermag
is in the works.
Brian
Well after those huge cartridges you were used to, that 357 will not be the "Hand Cannon Power" you were accustom to! :-[
However it still is a great cartridge! ;D
Yeah but to me the 445 is pretty tame or I just am not too bothered by recoil. My new 5 shot 445supermag should blow my old DW 445 supermag away by a mile. DW never made their revolvers the right way in my opinion.
I cant wait for the 5 shot 445 supermag that is going to be insane.
I cant wait to shoot this thing in about 9 days for that instant nix check lol.
This is going to be a great little gun.
Be sure to post some pics after you get it if possible.
Congrats great cartridge and handgun, I carry a 640 Smitty every day. Their especially fun to shoot at night and don't forget to bring your sunglasses on the night shoot. ;D
A bad ass .357 will do better than this in the hands of a shooter.

Thats a mim and lock 686 combat, 4" of shit in your face .357 mag. Polished up, trigger job. Single action is to die for.

I like that bang club. but I get wiggy shooting my wifes 60 Pro J Frame, cleaned up a tad with trigger job.

That 60 Pro cleaned up is ,,,, I don't know what to say,,, other than the best pistol I have ever shot. Makes the wife mad how I can bare down on to little j-frame wicked hot. Be clear if I don't have my 10mm in hand for SD or HD work. I want one of those mim and lock .357's in my hand. 8)
Now those are some mighty fine looking pistolas! 8) Glad to hear they shoot as good as they look.
This is the S&W Mod 19 6" 357 (1980) I use to test the various stuff Intercooler sent for pull-downs!
