Title: Cross-Breed Super Tuck Delux vs. Comp-Tac Minotaur
Post by: doverpack12 on June 03 2013 09:22:10 AM MDT
Which holster do you prefer and why for concealed IWB carry.  Will probably be a G29.  If you like another please suggest it and why.  The comp tac advantage is the kydex part is interchangable for different guns so a whole new holster is not needed just the kydex piece for a reduced cost.

I own two crossbreed supertucks.  One for a G29 and one for a 1911.

I don't own nor have I handled a comp-tac.  I have only seen them online.

The comp-tac looks a little more bulky than the crossbreed to me.  In an IWB holster that is a big deal.  And I would see the comp-tac interchangeability advantage also being mitigated by the initial price.  For the cost of 1 comp-tac ($90) plus the second holster body ($38) I am within $10 of the cost of two cross-breed holsters.  And I still have to disassemble/re-assemble when I switch holsters.

In general I keep my 1911 holster in my daily wear pants, and the G29 in my "special event/dress up" pants.  I like that advantage to two holsters.

I have been very happy with Crossbreed.
