Title: POLL on which specific Glock models are owned -
Post by: REDLINE on June 26 2012 06:00:22 PM MDT
General FYI;

Votes can be changed, as the poll is set to run "forever", and an individual's Glock model ownership could change over time.

Results are viewable to all as not all 10mm shooters own a Glock and may still be curious about the results.

You can only vote once for each individual poll choice even if you own more than one of the same model.  Though you can vote once each for up to all of the poll choices at the same time according to what you own.

For the record, I have NOTHING against any other 10mm platform from any other manufacturer.  The idea with this poll is simply Glock model breakdown of user ownership.  Probably didn't need to say that, but some people can be a little funny about that kind of stuff.  No disrespect meant to anyone. :D

At the moment the only Glock is the 29 FS with the rail, I'm considering the 4 gen Glock 20 to add to my collection...10mm is addictive!  ;D

Must be addictive, the past couple of years the interest has increased rediculously. 10mm is a popular drug.

It's no doubt addictive. But thanks to BO and overall bad economy with debt load, preppers and concerned folks jumped in.It appears some want serious fire power which the 10 delivers in a auto loader that will not break the bank.

No, it shouldn't be that way.  I picked the setting for all to be able to view the poll results without acutally voting so that 10mm shooters that don't own a Glock could still view it.  I'm not sure what the issue would be as this is all new and I'm not sure what the ins and outs are to dealing with that.  Individuals should also be able to change their votes over time.  Sorry, don't know what's up.

After further review I have a thought.  As a person that has voted (me in this case) when I look at the poll I see three buttons at the bottom left of the poll reading:  "Remove Vote", "Lock Voting", and "Edit Poll".  Since you haven't voted because you don't own a Glock pistol I wonder if there is a button option for you to simply "View Poll Results", or something similar, that simply doesn't show up for me as I have voted.

Let me know.

I looked, not there. (or I am blind...wouldn't be the first time)

edit:  I am blind.  It was hiding below the divider.

Good.  Glad you brought it up.  Glad the issue is solved.  Those grayed out buttons are a bit deceiving till one figures out they are good links and to pay attention to them depending on what one might be attempting to accomplish.

Glock 20sf here.  I took at least a month debating whether I wanted the regular or the sf model.  The regular model felt smoother and more round, but the sf fit my fingers just right.  Plus, I can get a bit higher grip on the sf than the standard.  It's not really enough to be able to tell by looking at it, but it feels like the gun sits lower in my grip.

20 and 29,  non SF.     If Glock comes out with a Gen 4 in C I might add another one to the mix.

Glock 20SF for me.  Highly likely a Gen4 29 will be added when I can save up for it  :)  Is there a name for this 10mm addiction, cuz I'm pretty sure I have it  ;D

It would appear you are not the only one with the addiction.  So far 22 individuals own at least a collective total of 34 Glocks chambered in 10mm.  2 of those are mine, and I'm considering a 3rd. :D

G-21 with a Storm Lake 10mm barrel. Does this count?

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say;  Yes.

I could see an arguement both ways.  I'm looking at it like this -  Many of us G20 owners go with an aftermarket barrel anyway.  And other than that I believe your setup ends up being equal in all other ways except having a G20 slide that has been lightened by Glock for use with the 45.  The only other difference I can imagine is the possibility of a different extractor, if even the case.

So again, I say;  Yes, your vote counts.  But again understanding why others might not agree.  Either way, you've pointed it out for all to understand, making it even less of an issue.  Thanks for your vote!

I own a G20SF and a G29SF but HAVE owned everything in that list at one time or another.

Now 31 members collectively own 47 Glocks chambered in 10mm alone.

I see SFs are barely overshadowing nonSFs unless the "C" model and longslides are included.

My Glocks are the gen 2.5 26, 20 sf, 20 sf solid top LS .  I wish Glock would make a slim frame 10mm, like the G36.

I own two Glock 20 handguns (one Gen 2 and one Gen 3) and one Glock 29SF handgun. I couldn't figure out how to add a second G20 to the poll.

Any suggestions?

You can only vote once for each individual poll choice even if you own more than one of the same model.  No way around it or I would have set it up accordingly.  It's just a limitation of the polls.

I own more Glocks, that any other single, manufacture. Smith has plenty of variety, but the ones I want are either hard to come by, or to expensive. As far as the M&P line, they don't have two that I'd like to own. Ruger? I may own a 3rd handgun, of theirs, in the future. Needless to say if any of the manufactures comes out with a 10MM, I will own one. Heck, I'd even buy a XD if they make one in 10MM!

No worries.
