Title: I put the XDM-10 5.25 through its paces
Post by: sparkyv on April 02 2025 06:53:38 AM MDT
Took the XDM-10 5.25 out on Saturday to plink at some paper with some 40S&W ammo I "inherited".  I started with some nuclear rounds I loaded up for my M610, then proceeded with a boxful of the gifted ammo, lead TC.  No issues whatsoever, and in fact, I was pleasantly surprised at the good group I got with the TC rounds offhand at 15yds.  In case you're clutching your pearls because I'm shooting 40S&W rounds in my 10mm, fear not.  The XDM-10 is a tank, and besides, I've got plenty of spare parts.  I finished up with good and hot proper 10mm reloads, and I had a pleasant outing.  I don't really like the XDM platform, and this one is particularly ugly, but it does what I ask it to do, plus...it's not a Gluck. ;)

I have one of the first xd-40's.

I tried to get one of the HS-2000's, but there were none to be found anywhere at the time.

Been a good gun.
