I have been casting for some time and I am need of a 380 bullet mold. The more cavities the better. Willing to pay top dollar. Any help would be very much appreciated.
The 380's normal weights are on the lighter side 80 to 100 grains...You might could get a LEE multi cavity for reasonable price.
OpticsPlanet has this one but it may be too heavy...http://www.opticsplanet.com/lee-double-cavity-pistol-bullet-mold-number-tl356-124-2r-90464.html (http://www.opticsplanet.com/lee-double-cavity-pistol-bullet-mold-number-tl356-124-2r-90464.html)
I use that one in 9mm and 38Spl
I have a 124 gr 9mm mold realy need a lighter one.
Lee catalogs no less than 5 molds in .358 between 102 grain and 125 grain in six-cavity configuration. Any of them should be workable in a 380. The 102 gr would probably be the best bet for reliable function.
I use the Lee 102 RN and 124 2-ogive, .356 (they cast to .357, and I size them to .356). Both shoot very well. There's nothing wrong with the 124, unless you really need more velocity. They shoot slower, but hit a LOT harder on steel. Accuracy (if it really matters with a .380) is much better with the heavier bullet and 3.8" barrel.
I found one for NOE that I ordered :D now I just have to wait to get it.
What is the wait time for a mold from them right now?
Looked like he had them in stock. I e-mailed him on Sunday got a reply on Monday saying he was going to make them this week. On Tuesday the web site showed 5 in stock, 4 after my order.
Go with a 4 cavity from LBT WFN you will be impressed with performance and the great bullets that drop from Verals molds
I use a Lyman 2 cavity 90 gr RN. Works like a champ
