Title: compaired AA5 loads to power pistol loads
Post by: gadabout on May 03 2023 12:50:27 PM MDT
I found some older aa5 loads for 9mm like 115g JHP 6.2g and I load 6.2g power pistol so I compared them. At first the aa5 loads seemed lighter than the PP loads but I loaded aa5 fresh to compair today and boy they are the same!! Shot in the Sig 2022 and the light Springfield XDs. Oh well at leased I can use the powder up as I seem to have 1 and a half pounds of it for some reason.  Craig

Hey Craig, have you found an OAL for 9mm that works well with most of your pistols?

I think it's just a little shorter than the COL book number. I want to say 1.10 or a little less. COL is not a problem with my 9's like 40 cal COL is critical.  Craig

Boy all rounds in the car for competition this morning but I found one in the reloading room that is 1.15 and the book on the net is 1.12 or close. Hope this helps but remember I just don't ever have any 9mm COL issues!!!   Craig
