Title: For us Taurus Fans...
Post by: BC17A on April 27 2023 05:10:52 PM MDT
Any day now Taurus is going to release their TH10 10MM for those who've been patiently waiting like myself. 4.25" barrel, 15 round, hammer fired DA/SA with de-cocker and ambi safety. I've owned a TH40 and TH9 for a while now and haven't had a single malfunction with either through many hundreds of rounds. Both are extremely accurate and fit the hand like they are molded to it. I was interested in the XDM 10mm when it was first released but was disappointed in the brick like feel of the grip once I held one. Also thought the M&P 10mm would do it for me but the reports of spotty reliability turned me off so I never felt like I would be happy with one. So, I've got my trusty credit card ready and won't hesitate to order the Taurus TH10 as soon as they hit the distributors. Several online stores now show them as out of stock which means they're on the way.

Have listened to many bash Taurus over the years, but have been very happy with my GX4. From what I can tell, you either get a good one or you don?t, in which case you just send it in.

Twenty-eight or so years ago I had a Taurus PT series in 40 S&W.  Stainless steel, wood grips, fixed sights.  Bought it when I really couldn't afford it because it was a great deal, then had to sell it a couple months later to pay for some unexpected expense.  Made about $50 on the deal but never got to shoot it.

It seemed like a well-made, nice firearm.  I got a lot of dry fire in on it during that time and it had a decent enough trigger for what it was.  It could have been a jam-o-matic, I guess I won't know.  I can say I still miss it.  Taurus has the up is safe, level is fire, swipe down for decock mechanism prety well sorted.

I will be on the lookout to handle one of these.  I always complain there aren't enough polymer frame, hammer fired 10mm options.  I have to put up or shut up now.

My go-to store shows it in the mid 3's so let's hope the MSRP is down where the other TH pistols are and maybe the 10 will be even cheaper.

I will be interested in seeing how this one works out. I love my Taurus revolvers. The semi auto on the other had I have not enjoyed. Although I have not heard one bad thing about the GCX4. I am curious if there is a release date. It seems to have been in the works for over a year now. There were a couple of videos and articles from Jan 2022. It is not listed on the Taurus website. Did Tarus scrap this?
