A guy shoots near me every morning and he found out I was a reloader. He is now giving me all the 38 special brass he shoots. All brand new once fired of course. I just loaded 16 155g blue bullet I will give him some to try and I will shoot them in my 357 Smith. We are having fun now!!! Craig
Well I remembered I had and found 158g JHP 38 cal projos from Montana Gold in my storage area so I can load those also. I bet I have like 300+ in the box!! Craig
OK the Smith 357 with 38 specials in them shot great. The man with the empties wasn't there so I shot 10 rounds. Shot my Sig at the end and it felt much more powerful than the 38's go figure ah but a much lighter gun!! Craig
Well shot a Smith airweight 5 shot 38 special revolver today and it seemed more powerful than yesterday but the two guns are on opposite ends of the weight spectrum!! I really sucked shooting that gun compared to my Sig 2022DP Oh well. Craig
Sounds great Craig!
I do like the 38 Spl for some situations!
So back when I bought my first revolver it was a .357 Magnum. In all the rounds shot they were always Magnum rounds because I always preferred, liked the recoil.
Fast forward I acquired a .38 snub nose. I toyed with different loads for it and always enjoyed how mild and pleasant it was to fire.
I decided to load up some +P ammo for it. It ends up that it's spicy enough to keep it interesting on the range.
I loved the bark behind the discharge, exactly how I enjoy it. My son inlaw was with me, he didn't shoot revolvers. I gave him the two different rounds, he loved it too.
