I was just telling a friend the other day that this treaty would eventually be used to stop importation of foreign made guns. Glocks and AK47's in particular..I know they would love to ban those for civilian use. No more witnesses, Sigs, H&K etc. Its purely speculation at this point, but do I trust Obama? No.

Grim hit the nail on the head. All the "scary" guns used by gangsters in the hood are Glocks, Sigs, AK-47's, Uzis. They are in all the rap songs. They are in the movies kids in urban areas love to watch. Its not "cool" in the ghetto of chicago to carry an American made revolver. Kids aren't rapping about Colt 1911's or Ruger 357 magnums. They can and will use this treaty to block the foreign guns first. My guess is the second step will be tax the American gun companies or the buyers (us) so high the American gun companies go out of business. With the foreign companies banned, guns will become obselete. With the stroke of a pen, this treaty probably gives the president this authority without congressional approval.
Just keep in mind,the Secratery of Treasury has open season on Importation.He/She does not have to go thru legislation.In this case,it's Obozo's appointee,Jack Lew.FYI
