Title: Bar Sto Barrels
Post by: RRMan03 on April 22 2013 09:09:26 PM MDT
Now for you Bar Sto Barrel users. Tell me what you like or dislike about these barrels on a Glock. What is the advantage beside tighter tolerances for bettr accuracy if fitted correctly.

Well I was sort of hoping someone would have chimed in who had a Bar-Sto on a Glock for you.  Although my Bar-Sto match grade barrels are not for a Glock, they are for my S&W 1006 5", one chambered in 40S&W the other 9x35Dillon.  They had to be final fitted to the slide and frame for them to function, I performed the work myself, but the final reaming of the 9x25 chamber was done by a gunsmith.  The 40 barrel was very nice from the get do.  The 9x25 Dillon needed a little work where the recoil spring purchases on the barrel lug and the gunsmith fixed that too while he had it.  Other than that they have been great, good chamber support & accurate with most bullets.

I've got a semi-fit on order for my G20, but it has not arrived - will update after fitting and testing.

thx,

Moved from Delta to G20 in ISC competition for increased mag capacity, fewer reloads. Needed to shoot reloads and lead bullets to keep costs down. Got a BarSto simi fit with cut rifling and have never looked back. Accurate and reliable. Live in Grizz country and the 230 grain hard cast loads from Double Tap always occupy my high cap mags. They shoot very well, reasonable recoil and accurate. All in all, a unique and valuable combination.
