Here it is, built by me and then my talented ameteur issues were addressed by Rob at Alchemy. He did the Flush Cut, Crowned barrell , re-fit barrel, defined the checkering, blended rear sight, new Novak front sight and a bunch of other custom stuff including the two tone Cerakote. Great guy and company to do business with. Hope everyone enjoys. Dave

I hear you Harry, I'm the same way. It's a 100 and 200 yd. gong ringer for sure, ( 200 yd. gong when I do everything right that I'm supposed to do right), The most accurate 1911 I own, plus, it has my Dads initials, birthdate and the year he died as the Custom serial #. Always have Dad with me at the range now.

My custom 10mm long slide, by Fusion Firearms. Just to compare the customizations. I do like my fully adjustable rear and fiber optic pipe front sights. I ordered mine custom made, they actually make them from the ground up. I did not have to supply a 10mm pistol to get the finished product. It would be interesting to compare the costs for both of us.

Does the long slide help to slow the recoil speed of the slide down?

How would I know? It still happens too fast for me to notice.  ;D
