Haven't posted in a spell or should it be haven't posted because I can't spell. Either way or both I got one of the latest American orders with v-crowns and they are nice as always. Just finished the last of the FMJ 115g I got from them a while ago so was looking for this order and here it is!!!!. Also placed an order for blue bullets in the 124g size conical. They shoot great as does the v-crown. Oh yeah I also got in some aa5 powder which I ran out of today and none local to be found so I got it at Powder valley. Well I guess that's it for now got to go check the 200 9mm in the wet tumbler!! Craig
Just sorted the 115 from 124 and it was easy compared to the past orders. The 115 didn't have any grove, smooth sided and the 124 had a grove and were just slighter taller. I think without counting I got 200+ 115 and 250+ 124 which is the count I would have preferred as I seem to be shooting 124 more lately. Craig
I loaded 25 of the 125g v-crown and shot this morning. I loaded 5.5g as I have been loading 6.5 lately to get close to what power pistol was getting me. They shot great but had one ejection problem. I will go to 6.0 on the next group which should fix everything. I am mainly working up a load for the new Smith and Wesson CSX I just got for carry. It's nice and small but aluminum alloy frame and fits my hand great and comes with other back straps if you need them. Craig
Just got more blue bullets in the mail today. They are 124g cone shaped bullet that feeds great in any of my 9mm. Shot the 115 blue today at 6.3g and all went perfect. Craig
Evening Craig, what company do your blues from?
Ken
I think it's called the blue bullet company but when you get the bullets it's from a different company but maybe it's the shipping company. Don't know don't care. I would just google "blue bullets company". Let me know if you have problems finding it and I will send you a link. Craig
Here is the link. https://thebluebullets.com/ (https://thebluebullets.com/) Well copy the link and it should work. Craig
Thanks Craig!
Well I just tried the link and it worked from the post after I put it up not during the writing of the post so now we know!!! Craig
today my order of the V crown bullets today. mine all had cannelures near the base and looked almost identical to each other. I ended up weighting every one on my electronic scale . they were mostly 124 gr. jhp bullets with only 121 115 gr. jhp bullets and one 147 gr bullet and one 124 gr. fmj.
I had the same problem with an earlier order. Had to weigh each bullet. This order was a 115/124g JHP but I got all v-crown except the 115g might be something else but boy do they shoot great. I haven't shot the 124 out of this order but I am sure they will be fine. Love the prices and something always seems to be available!! Craig
I agree, it's well worth having to sort out a few bullets to buy quality jacketed bullets for the price of cast or plated bullets. I have gotten many good deals from American Reloading on bullets &powder over the years.
I see shipping savings on Blue Bullets with $150 purchase. Does American Reloading offer a similar cost savings on shipping? If no, how much does American Reloading charge for shipping?
I think it's the same but stated in each deal. Well I am wrong about that it's not stated anywhere but I think I have seen it before but not sure where. Craig
Well I just received another American Reloading order~!! This time I ordered 115tg and 124g JHP and it was advertised as a mix. Well I went through the first 100 and couldn't tell 115 from 124 and talk about a mix, there is at leased 8 different models of bullets in this mix. I do have a load that I have been using for both weights but when you get something good you like to repeat it. I guess I could sort by model but I just wonder why they do this!! Just to make it hard for us reloaders I guess. Still a great deal even with a day of sorting!!! Craig
Without counting I got 200 115g and 300 124g close to what I would use. Happiness is 500 projectiles and 6000 primers with 10000 brass cases!!!!! Craig
You should separate, by exact weighs and style bullets just to be sure!
Hey Craig, have you been able to secure your desired powder? If so, your set my Friend
Yeah Wade I have sorted by weight, weighing each bullet and when I reload I will sort again by style and probably by weight again just to be sure. Ken I have not found any Alliant power pistol anywhere yet but have developed a load I can use for both 115 and 124 weights that are under max that work OK. It's with aa5 powder which I seem to be able to get on the net. Craig
Shot this morning and all went great!! The 6.2 aa5 worked perfect in both 115g and 124g. Just 2 tenths of a grain makes a big difference. The 115 in the new S&W CSX shot perfect and will be my new carry rig. The 125 shot real nice and you could feel the power. I will load a lot more of both of these and even save some. Craig
