Title: I made a bad ASSumption :-)
Post by: gnappi on April 22 2022 08:56:06 PM MDT
I have a most excellent Tanfoglio Hunter (6" barrel with lightened slide from the factory) and it came with one mag. I figured not to worry, I also have a number of .40 mags from different generations for my race .40. Tanfo. I ASSumed the several .40 mags I have without the dimpled spacer in the rear were suitable for their 10mm large frame. WRONG! I had no idea that Tanfo put the spacer in the FRONT of the mag essentially making them a one round mag :-)

So in order to preempt any future mag capacity bans I ordered six 14 round 10 mags from EAA. What a surprise that using the MAG25 "coupon" the price went from something like $39 to 25 bucks. I originally planned on six mags but with the large discount I bought six mags for less than the price of four.

So, if you have a Tanfo 10mm (maybe  their other calibers are on sale also) now is a good time to stock up!

PS, yes... Patriot defense and others have them also but these are priced pretty good.

Oh, and the Tanfo Hunter has THE slimmest high cap 10mm frame on the market. Get one! :-)

Great info Gary
Never got into the 40 cal, but thought about trying a 9mm Upper on my Witness Lower
It is a full sized, Steel Framed Witness, with a 10mm Compact Upper that is my DtDC
It can also sport a 10mm (what Tanfoglio calls) "Longslide", that is (in actuality) a 5" Upper that has the same Fully Adjustable Rear Sights as their Hunter
Along with their (Large Frame) .22lr Conversion:
