Title: Help Needed.
Post by: The Kaiser on March 25 2022 05:56:34 PM MDT
Been reloading for a long time, but new to the 10mm pistol.  I'm using Rim Rock Bullets-220 hard cast. Not much reloading information out there. At present I'm using AA# 9,-- 9.8 grains with the 220 hard cast. Accuracy is good and recoil is stiff and brass looks alright. Any thoughts?  By the way, new here and just want to say hello.

I ran your load, as best I could given the information you posted, through "Quick Load". Your load was calculated to be about 31,000 psi, but there are a few caveats:  1) there were only two 220gr bullets in the program and I don't know how close they are to Rim Rock bullets;  2) It was assumed that your COAL was 1.260 ;  3) the results were calculated from an algorithm, not actual tests so there is a certain amount of error implied.   Your load seems to be good where it is, but if you want to go higher go slow and see if you can find some data from something actually fired.

Thank you. Yes my OAL is 1.260 and the load just "feels good" I'll run it through my Crony. Monday and see what the FPS's are.

Kenk. Thanks.       Gary

Welcome to the forum Gary!  Be sure to look at the pull-down section there is some info there for 220 grains being done by the ammo makers.
