For what it is worth, I love Vihtavuori premium handgun powders! They seem to meter properly and 3N37 seems to be almost universal for the calibers that I shoot. I shoot 8.1 gr Viht. 3N37 with X-TREME 185 gr. HPCB bullets. They are accurate and cost-effective. (BTW, I use Starline brass)
I have also had good success with Acc. #7.
Also, sometimes people complain about the additional cost of Viht. powders, but with most everything going up, it seems Viht. has increased in value!
Got any recipes for 200 and 220gr bullets? I happen to have a pound of 3N37 and I don't know what to do with it.
3N37 would be a bit fast for the heavy bullets. You need VV N105.
Tony
That's one I don't have
I use N105 for 185gr bullets in 45acp and N350 for 180gr bullets in .44special, have had great results with both.
Longcarbine - love your signature line! Reminds me of the back story to the song "Disturbing the Priest"
The band was practicing to go in the studio for the Born Again album. They were in a building next to a cemetery, then a church. One day the priest came by and asked them to turn it down. Thus the idea for the song!
