I overheard some guy telling someone today that hollow points damage your barrel, and wear it out prematurely because they start expanding in your barrel 😂😂😂😂, I have never read, or heard of such a thing, not to mention, it seems highly unlikely. Just wanted to tell him?I didn?t think so?Thoughts
I'd of had hard time keeping my mouth shut
Absolutely had a hard time not saying anything 😂
:-[ ::) ??? :'(
I would not have kept my mouth shut and probably would have told him he was a frikin idiot. There was a Gander Mountain employee who frequently gave false info to customers. I let him know what I thought. I would not let that guy help me period.
For sure, misinformation irritates me a great deal also
Unfortunately they do walk among us. It really makes you wonder where stuff like that gets started.
Urban myths... legends... tinfoil hats :-)
I want this guys name. Altruistic reasons. I just hate for him to have damaged guns, so I would offer to buy any that have been "destroyed" by these nasty hollow-point bullets expanding too soon. At a discount of course since they are damaged. :P
That reminds me of a guy that used to work at a local Dunham's gun counter. He was very talkative and would pontificate about all things related to handguns. Unfortunately one of the things he would cite as a reason to believe his expertise was that he shot himself in the leg with a double action .357 while practicing his quick draw.....
I didn't hang around long enough to get any of the details.
Smart guy 😀
idiot
Was his name Barney?
I would have told him they do wear out the barrel due to armor-piercing hydrostatic shock.
Well Ken, I gotta say that tops any gun BS I have ever heard.
Absolutely, wanted to say something so bad, but just held my tongue
These are the same people that have to read the instructions on the shampoo bottle.
Sounds like he's been vaping from car exhaust pipes. :o
😂
He most likely read that in an old West comic , :D
You can't argue with someone that stupid. It's best to just say nothing.
lol I hate misinformation
Absolutely and welcome JTop
That's right up there with the guy I overheard the other day. He was buying a box of .50 BMG and he was telling the clerk, I sh*t you not...
"You can miss a person with one of these by four feet and the forces of the wind would still cause injuries."
She said "That's crazy!"
I said "It's also a myth."
You should have seen the look on this guy's face when he turned around. ;D
Yep, pretty silly stuff
