No surprises there. Just out of boredom, I wouldn't mind seeing them come out with something different in 10mm.
Maybe load a Silvertip or bullet from Fort Scott?
Having all of those Underwood loads documented allows those of us that handload to roll our own.
The Silvertip bullets are hard to come by even before the current shortages. I was glad when Speer did release the 200 grain Gold Dots as components.
Now if we can get federal to do the same with their 190 grain Soft point and 200 grain HST! 8)
In MN, I can only get Silvertips locally around deer season, otherwise have to order them online... which is fine also
I wouldn't mind seeing those 200 grain Gold dots at Underwood velocities.
does anyone know what length test barrel Underwood uses?
If I recall it was 5" or Glock 20 standard length 4.6"
I have made his numbers with my S&W1006 5" BBL in testing
Underwood just got back to me. They use a 5" barrel for testing
That is good news. Velocity test barrels have a SAAMI standard that includes length. 5.000"±0.010" is the spec for 10mm auto.
