So I'm waiting for my background check to come through so I can pick up my new to me Witness Steel Full Size 10mm. This isn't my first Tanfo, and I've also owned several CZ's, but I do have some questions.
First, just how much interchangeability is there between CZ's and the Tanfoglios? With my CZ's I could buy a whole parts kit from CGW, but it seems the stuff for the Tanfos is more ala carte, a trigger blade here, a hammer there, a sear somewhere else. Gets confusing and expensive. If a CGW kit would work, that would make my life a lot simpler.
Second, where do you source top ends for these guns? I traded a .45 CZ for this (plus cash, of course), but it would be nice to be able to swap back and forth between 10mm and .45 ACP, maybe even 9mm. And are they available as a kit, or is this another ala carte situation?
Finally (for now), is there a tutorial somewhere on tearing this down and polishing what needs to be polished? And while I'm at it, is there anything I can do to reduce DA pull without throwing a bunch of parts at it? Thanks in advance, guys, later.

1. None except maybe recoil springs. The internal design is similar at a 10,000 ft view, but not remotely the same. Even recoil springs might be dicey. Hennings is the best single source for Tanfo parts IMHO. The Ben Stoeger Pro Shop has some options as well. I have found the stock parts to usually be pretty serviceable which may account for the lack of much in the way of kits beyond springs.
2. EAA sells conversion top ends for the guns. Brace yourself before you go shopping. The costs of the kids is pretty much the same as the real world cost for new/lightly used new guns. I was gonna be nice and provide a link, but I can't even find them on EAA Corps new website. Maybe they gave up trying to sell them. For 10mm to 40/357 sig/38 super/9mm I would just get a barrel. I have run 38 super with no issue in my 10mm slides. And I use 38 Super Comp brass which effectively has a 9mm rim, so I am confident a 9mm would run fine. Top-ends for "large frame" guns swap fine too. My Witness, Elite Match and Stock III all swap top ends with no issue.
3. There used to be a pretty good one, but the link I had died. This video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J70UbHQt0pc) seems pretty good and covers the basics.
Thank you, that covered it nicely. I've done some research since posting this and learned that the Tanfoglios really aren't clones, more like CZ variants, very similar in design, but not much parts interchangeability. Already ordered a bunch of parts from Henning, and a recoil spring calibration set from Wolff, got mags direct from EAA. Springs are on the way, the rest of the parts have already arrived, now I'm just waiting until I can pick up my pistol ::).
Speaking of EAA, I'd already looked for top ends there, no joy, which is why I asked here. Guess I'll just have to haunt the various classifieds and see if I get lucky. Thanks again, later.

I got all of my conversion kits, mags, barrels and parts from EAA. Their site is useless and it appears as if they are bailing out of Tanfo. You have to call them for what you want and receive instructions for how to get what you want
I got some goodies from Hennings, notably the cone fit guide rod. I forget the site name but if you google henning's guns you'll find it.
