Title says it all. I'm looking for the cheapest way to keep shooting. Coated bullets have so far been the way. Where is the best place to get them from? Any site sponsors here with discount codes?
Evening, if lead is workable , Missouri bullet Company IDP # 5 has served me well in the past, 500 for $50.00

I use SNS Casting coated 165 gr for general shooting: 500 @ $48.50. Before the Fall delivery was usually 4 days from order. Availability has been spotty since Oct. but right now they show all their 10 mm bullets as being available.
Morning Ct,
That sounds like a deal if you like them

Cast your own bullets and quality lube or homemade lube has many benefits...
Thanks Shadow, looking into that myself

I use Laser Cast 180gr RNFP that are about $40 for 400. These bullets in Starline brass over 9.8gr Blue Dot produces near a 1inch ragged hole at 25 yards at about 1100fps.
Absolutely, for me, 180gr XTP's or 180gr HAP's with 10.4gr's of Blue Dot makes for some amazing accuracy, and even greater accuracy if you were a pro 😊
I like the ones that come out of my garage and I coat my self. The price is right but customer service really sucks

Absolutely 😊
I've found Brazos Precision bullets to be great for range practice and their prices are very competitive, PLUS they have a decent selection in stock with a two-week backorder, not 12 or 14 weeks backorder.
I agree with Shadow, start casting and never look back. I make it a point to collect more lead than I shoot every time I go to the range. My wife and I usually collect/sift 20-25 pounds of bullets from the backstops which melt down to about 16-18 pounds of clean usable lead. Other than some idiot labor, free bullets can't be beat.
I picked up some 180gn coated cast bullets from Acme at $52/500. Need some brass with large primer pockets so I can load them. Only brass I have right now has the small pocket but I don't have primers for those.
I know nothing about casting, but will be starting soon, it's like...what am I waiting for😀
What make is the brass with a small primer? Never saw that.

I didn't look close to see the brand but I'll check this evening and let you know. Thought I had scored huge as it only cost me $5 for 248 pieces.
There were several makes but mostly Federal that had the NT = Non Toxic small pistol primer pockets. NT is not made in LPP format!
In 10mm the only small primer brass I've found is blazer

180gr bayou bullets. I got them to 1230fps with 7.7gr CFE pistol in a 5" fusion 1911 top end.
This is close to max load so use with caution.
If you get into casting, the Lee 175 gr truncated cone is a really great bullet. I wish it wasn't a bevel base, but oh well.
Rim Rock 200 gr. TC hardcast.
$ 61.00 per 700

I have both Federal and Blazer stamped SPP 10mm cases. Just scored some Federal SPM Match primers and am going to use them with that. Maybe try working up a powerful load with TCM and pulled 180 gr FN FMJ from American Reloading.
I cast my own, been doing so since mid 1980's. ONLY WAY I see to go.
I have a small utube channel mostly about casting and coating some shooting and some trail riding and hunting if your interested. (Its non monetary channel, I like to try to help and spread collective knowledge)

Great stuff CW, Thanks!
Start casting and powder coating bullets. Then you'd have one less thing to search for.
I shoot mostly my home cast and powdercoated 180 flat points at the range.
