I don't frequent ar15.com, so I have no idea what commentary was being had there about the event of Jan. 6. I would guess there may have been some members of the forum that favored the action's of the rioters, perhaps enthusiastically. Such commentary could have been the basis. It may also just be that they are anti-2A and needed the right political environment to disconnect.
This is a real challenge. If GoDaddy's action are based on the first scenario, eg, ar15.com's admins not aggressively stopping violence inciting speech, then I am not entirely upset with them. I fear that it will end up being more the latter, in which case I have a number of domains I will have to move.

I suspect the lack of a better explanation to the admins of a site with that much traffic is very telling.

It should be concerning to everyone that free speech is being suppressed. I have no doubt these places are targeting certain types of sites and picking them out.
I get that they are private companies but in today's world with the use of technology only a handful of companies can completely snooze what people see or don't see and that is a problem.
