Title: Maximum Velocity
Post by: Alabusa on December 06 2020 01:25:22 PM MST
For all of you that push the envelope when reloading, what is the highest velocity you have achieved with a 6 inch or shorter barrel in a semi auto?

With 155gr XTPs, I am getting a bit over 1400fps out of a 5.3 inch barrel with Blue Dot.

11.0gr of 800X pushed a 155gr XTP out of my old Colt DE @1523fps for the high and 1468fps for the low in a 5 shot string. That was a handful.

A 135 grain Nosler and a bunch of Longshot hit 1540 using my Kimber 10mm. I only shot it a couple of times before going back to more "traditional" 10mm projectiles
